Promote continuous skills exchange and development among young workers across the EAC Partner States, enabling cross-border learning and professional growth.
Strengthen Opportunities for Contribution
Enhance opportunities for young workers to meaningfully contribute to the integration process within the EAC, building a generation of integration-minded professionals.
Exposure to Diversity
Expose young workers to the diverse work environments, cultures, and ethos present in different Partner States, thereby accelerating, widening, and deepening the integration process.
Programme Features
What makes the Young Workers Programme unique
Cross-Border Placements
Young workers are placed in organisations in Partner States other than their own, gaining exposure to different work cultures and practices.
Peer Learning Networks
Participants form cross-national peer learning groups to share experiences, best practices, and build lasting professional networks.
Skills Development
Structured skills development programmes covering technical competencies, soft skills, and regional integration knowledge.
Cultural Immersion
Deep immersion in the host country's culture, language, and professional environment to build cross-cultural competencies.

Young workers can be placed across all 8 EAC Partner States
Who Can Apply?
- Citizens or residents of an EAC Partner State
- Young professionals aged 18–35 years
- Minimum of a diploma or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated interest in regional integration
- Willingness to be placed in a different Partner State
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the programme duration
