Three Engagement Tiers

Choose the pathway that matches your experience level and commitment. Each tier offers structured placement at one of the 10 EAC Apex Bodies.

Tier 1

Fellows

6 months

Mid-career professionals with 2–5 years of experience deployed for strategic research, policy analysis, programme coordination, and institutional strengthening.

Master's degree or equivalent
Age: 25–35 years
Full-time commitment
2–5 years professional experience
Tier 2

Interns

3–6 months

Recent graduates and early-career professionals with 0–3 years of experience for project support, data collection, and skills development.

Bachelor's degree minimum
Age: 18–35 years
Full-time commitment
0–3 years experience
Tier 3

Volunteers

1–3 months

Professionals, students, and retirees with specialised skills for community outreach, event support, and short-term technical assignments.

Administrative Fee

An administrative fee of USD 150–600 is charged to Fellows and Interns based on programme duration.

This fee covers application processing, placement coordination, onboarding, host-organisation logistics, participant support, programme oversight, record keeping, and the issuance of completion certificates.

Note: The administrative fee is separate from the programme fee. It applies only to Tier 1 (Fellows) and Tier 2 (Interns). Volunteers (Tier 3) are exempt from the administrative fee.

Programme Fees

Programme fees cover accommodation, airport transfers, orientation, in-country support, and certification.

Programme Fee Includes

  • Accommodation (hostel)

  • In-country support (academic and professional)
  • Certificate of completion from EAHP and EAC

  • Visa fee (recommendation letters will be provided)

Returning volunteers and interns receive a 15% discount on programme fees for subsequent placements.
