About the Portal
The Jumuiya Skills Portal is an independent central platform for managing skills development and capacity building programmes in the East African region. It hosts the East African Fellowship, Internship & Volunteer Programme (EAFIVP), the EAC Young Workers Programme (EACYWP), and the EAC Opportunities Hub, creating pathways for East African professionals to contribute to regional integration.
Through structured placements, mentorship, and cross-border exchange, the portal creates a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals who will contribute to regional development and integration while building their own careers and cross-border consciousness.
Our Flagship Programmes
The Jumuiya Skills Portal hosts three flagship initiatives that create pathways for East African professionals to contribute to regional integration.
East African Fellowship, Internship & Volunteer Programme
EAFIVP
A structured capacity-building initiative under the EAC Consultative Dialogue Framework deploying professionals across the 10 Apex Bodies through three engagement tiers.
EAC Young Workers Programme
EACYWP
A cross-border skills exchange initiative exposing young workers to diverse work environments, cultures, and professional practices across EAC Partner States.
EAC Opportunities Hub
Jobs, Fellowships & More
A curated aggregator that scans international development platforms for opportunities relevant to EAC Partner States, bringing them into one searchable hub.
Voices from the Programme
Hear from participants who have contributed to EAC integration
"My fellowship at EABC gave me unparalleled insight into trade integration dynamics across the EAC. The research I conducted on non-tariff barriers is now informing policy at the regional level."
"As an intern at EAYN, I helped design digital skills training curricula for youth across Partner States. The cross-border exposure transformed my understanding of regional development."
"Volunteering with EAWiBP on women in cross-border trade was deeply rewarding. Even in three months, I contributed to financial literacy training reaching hundreds of women traders."
